A sculptural installation of corten butterflies on steel, “Serie farfalle n.1s” brings lightness and poetry into space, fusing art and nature in a single visual vibration.

A sculpture installed at the Centro d’Arte La Loggia near Florence, made in 2009 with corten butterflies mounted on thin steel rods, 250 cm high overall. It stands out for its ability to animate space through light, dynamic forms that seem to hover in the air.

With its natural oxidation, corten gives the butterflies warm earthy shades that converse with the surrounding greenery, while the slender steel structure heightens the sense of movement and freedom. “Serie farfalle n.1s” reflects on metamorphosis and rebirth, inviting the viewer to be carried away by the poetry of nature and the evocative power of transformation.
A work suited to public spaces, gardens or museums, able to carry a message of lightness and hope through the solidity of matter.
