Paolo Fusi

In the heart of Chianti, my studio is a space for research and creation, now open to the public as an art centre that can be visited. From a path built through a direct relationship with materials comes a practice free of labels, in constant experimentation across sculpture, installation and new languages.

The studio where matter
becomes emotion

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the value of experimentation and in the dialogue between materials, techniques and ideas.

Every sculpture, installation or object grows out of continuous research and the will to turn matter into emotion.

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES

Steel is the beating heart of our work, often joined by coloured silicones and wood. Through painting on metal, oxidation and unconventional materials, we give life to forms that tell stories, evoke feelings and converse with the space that hosts them.

WORKS AND COLLABORATIONS

Paolo Fusi’s works are found in galleries, art centres and public and private spaces, in Tuscany and beyond. The studio works with organisations, institutions and foundations on commissioned projects.

PHILOSOPHY

INSPIRATION

Current events and society are the themes that drive my artistic research, shaping the forms, colours and meanings of the works.

The creative process

Every project begins with a conversation: we listen to our clients’ ideas, interpret their wishes or propose original visions.

01. Listening.

We talk with the client to understand their ideas, needs and inspirations.

02. Design.

We turn the concepts gathered into drawings, sketches and proposals, studying materials and tailor-made technical solutions.

03. Making.

We give shape to the work in our studio, taking care of every detail by hand and experimenting with new techniques.

04. Installation.

We complete the process by installing the work in the chosen space, ensuring a harmonious dialogue between art, environment and people.
