A site-specific steel installation inspired by Yona Friedman’s architectural vision. A weave of fluid lines creates a labyrinth suspended between matter and light, in dialogue with the space of the Antinori winery.

Description

“Iconostasi per Yona Friedman” is an installation made in 2012 for the Antinori winery in Florence. Made of intertwined steel profiles, it was conceived as a tribute to the utopian, modular vision of architect Yona Friedman. Curved, dynamic lines chase each other through space, creating a weave suspended between order and chaos, matter and light.

A modular, flexible work representing habitable, modifiable structures, following the theory of mobile architecture and the spatial city.
