A corten steel “pop-up scroll” that tells of the fragile balance between humankind and nature, between protection and decay.
A naive way of life where everything seems given, taken for granted and easy: the habits our evolution has led us to, seemingly normal, are in fact incompatible with the rhythms of the perfect ecosystems that give us life every day.
We will surely come to realise, indeed we are already realising, that without the protection offered by nature – sold off by humankind – survival itself will be severely tested.
The beauty of the sun, which has lit up both reality and fairy tales, could turn into destruction… And speaking of fairy tales, where “they all lived happily ever after”: a happy ending is not guaranteed.
This story is told on a corten steel “pop-up scroll” (or movable book) that opens towards the viewer, presenting a sequential scene of living figures in the presence of plants (Fiori Fantasy: a type of flower created by the artist, also featured in other works).
The coloured line marks the boundary of a protected, serene world, blessed by nature. Beyond it, in contrast: decay and fear; and almost at the far end of the scene, outside the line, a section devoted to violence, set alongside fear, where despair is expressed.

Installation is a key stage of the project: thanks to long experience with metals and with large-scale works, we can make and install sculptures of significant size directly on site.
In the case of “Ombre sicure: una bella favola”, the work – measuring 6 x 4 x 1.2 metres – was installed with precision and care at its designated site, ensuring both safety and respect for the surrounding environment. Being able to follow every stage, from design to installation, adds value to the work itself and gives the client a unique result, fully integrated into its setting.
