Mom

“Mom” is a sculpture made in 2020 at the Paolo Fusi Lab in oxidised corten steel, 90 cm high. It stands out for its essential composition and the expressive force of the material: with its warm, natural shades, corten conveys a feeling of warmth and welcome.
The form, stylised yet recognisable, recalls the mother figure as a universal symbol of protection, origin and belonging. Worked and left to oxidise naturally, the metal turns industrial hardness into a gesture of tenderness and intimacy.
“Mom” invites the viewer to reflect on roots, unconditional love and generative strength, carrying a message of balance between solidity and sensitivity. A work suited to indoor or outdoor spaces, able to convey emotion through simple form and the depth of its material.
