An installation combining reclaimed wood and corten steel fish, “Legni e pesci” tells of the meeting between nature and transformed matter, evoking stories of travel and rebirth.

“Legni e pesci” (Wood and Fish) is an installation of reclaimed wood and fish silhouettes in oxidised corten steel. The work grew from the wish to give value to natural and discarded materials, turning them into a visual and symbolic story.

The wood, smoothed by time and water, becomes the backdrop against which stylised fish move, cut from corten and left to oxidise for warm, vibrant shades. The result is a composition that recalls travel, transformation and the cycle of life, where every element finds new life through the meeting of nature and art.

“Legni e pesci” invites the viewer to reflect on the importance of reuse, on respect for the environment and on the possibility of creating beauty from what has been abandoned. A work suited to indoor or outdoor spaces, able to converse with the landscape and those who live in it.
