Boldness of purpose makes the universe small
“Beccastelle” is a large sculpture (220x140x60 cm) made of welded steel segments and set on a solid corten base. It depicts a stylised figure drawing a bow, capturing the moment of greatest concentration and momentum.
The essential lines of the metal segments convey lightness and dynamism, while the corten base, with its oxidised surface, anchors the sculpture to the surrounding landscape. “Beccastelle” invites the viewer to reflect on the tension between rootedness and aspiration, between the strength of matter and the lightness of gesture.
The sculpture is a synthesis of contemporary art, a long familiarity with iron and dialogue with the environment, suited to public spaces, gardens and collections that value expressive research and monumentality.
