Technique/Material
A sculpture that combines steel, corten and light to evoke the primordial force of matter and transformation through fire.
“Iron and fire” is a sculpture made between 2020 and 2021 that fuses steel, corten and light in a composition of great visual impact. The work stages a dialogue between solidity and transformation: the metal, skilfully worked, is crossed and animated by light, which brings out its details and oxidised surfaces.
Fire, a symbolic and real element of the making process, here becomes a metaphor for energy, rebirth and change. “Iron and fire” invites reflection on the creative and destructive power of matter, on resistance and the capacity to change, offering a sculptural presence in dialogue with space and the viewer’s perception.
