Important roles entrusted to those who are not up to them.
This work grows from an ironic, cutting idea. It reflects on the ever-topical theme of positions of great responsibility entrusted to people who are not truly up to them, across many areas of society.
The sculpture becomes a symbol of this mismatch between role and personal worth, with a critical eye but without direct polemic.
The armchair, seen as a design object, is valuable for its form and its presence. Yet its value empties out – or is lost altogether – depending on who sits in it.
