Paolo Fusi studio
Our art gallery in Chianti hosts the works of Paolo Fusi, a contemporary sculptor and artist specializing in steel and innovative materials.
Paolo Fusi’s studio, before becoming an art gallery in Chianti, was and still is the laboratory where even ordinary carpentry is enriched with art. With the passing of the years and the experience gained in iron working, Paolo Fusi feels the need to express himself through his works, with which he experiments with the application of unconventional materials.
Paolo Fusi’s recent artistic production ranges between different materials and processes, he paints on steel with colored silicones, or creates abrasions on steel to then oxidize them and bring out the design. His representations include creations of sculptures, of multiple themes and concepts; installed in art centers, galleries and public places.
The art gallery is located in Sambuca val di Pesa, Florence, and can be visited by appointment.

Past life or lived life. Spending time or making time. Finding the prevalence of a project in a mind which is sometimes suppressed. An instinct of a choice which is often difficult to make. The insatiable search for forms that has never been fully satisfied leads to their evolution. The fun of performing makes work brilliant – the spontaneous vision of ideas finds solutions…even from mistakes.
With clamoring direction, the chosen actors are multiplied. And then others: “well everyone in line will be called sooner or later.” Steel, corten and aluminum begin, strong and resistant for any scene. Metals have always been seen and are not boring as we will give them renewed roles which have sometimes never been seen before. Then there’s silicone which sometimes takes the lead role in other costumes and gives light and color. Glass will enrich by completing and collaborating. Wood will give warmth and genuineness.
Endless possibilities, concepts and themes take shape and are illustrated by the imagination. People can ponder or let their thoughts run wild.
