Exhibition of sculptures and installations in Steel and Corten
Drawing forms and feelings from the raw material of one’s work. The HARMONY of figures sometimes generates lightness in the heaviest constituents. Metal comes to life in the laboratory, Hephaestus gives way to the 4000° of welding machines. When the two join together, they create segments, instinct, love and knowledge.
Its colors are determined by natural processes: the black of the calamine sometimes stays put whereas rust often takes over, colors iron and corten which oxidizes and wears out less.
Stainless steel keeps its tone and stands out from the rest. There are not always rules, sometimes themes are followed, others I seek or stop to think about, which give way to new projects when blended with curiosity.
Sorry I’m not coming down
“Sorry I’m not coming down” is a corten steel sculpture that embodies the tension between lightness and solidity, typical of Paolo Fusi’s works. The controlled oxidation of the metal gives the surface unique nuances, while the composition suggests a suspended movement, almost balanced between heaven and earth. Exhibited in the art gallery in Chianti, this contemporary installation invites the visitor to reflect on the theme of balance and resilience, central elements in Fusi’s artistic research.

From nothing to nothing
“From nothing to nothing” is a work that tells the transformation of matter through the language of steel and corten. Paolo Fusi explores the concept of emptiness and rebirth, using the expressive power of worked and oxidized metal. This sculpture, part of the contemporary art collection exhibited in San Casciano Val di Pesa, stands out for its ability to evoke deep emotions and existential questions, inviting the public to a journey between absence and presence.
